Nathalie is a co-founder of Flow Performance Club, and her journey into skiing is as unique as it is inspiring. Born and raised in Burkina Faso in West Africa, a place without snow, she didn’t discover skiing until adulthood. This late start, however, ignited a lifelong passion that transformed her life and career. With a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Nathalie made the bold decision at 33 to leave corporate life and pursue her passion for skiing full-time. Now, with over 37 seasons of experience on four different continents, she spends more than 250 days each year teaching in ski schools, training, and certifying instructors, following the snow across hemispheres. Her motto, “2 Teach is 2 Touch Lives 4 Ever,” perfectly reflects her dedication to her craft.
Nathalie is widely respected not only for her technical expertise but also for her holistic, client-centered coaching approach, which has earned her the title of Most Requested Instructor of the Year on numerous occasions. Fascinated with anything that has to do with the human body and brain, trained in fields like AIM (Anatomy in Motion) and Volodalen Labs motor preferences, Nathalie brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to her teaching. Her experience guiding blind skiers early in her career instilled in her the values of patience, trust, and adaptability—qualities that remain at the heart of her instruction today. Nathalie is also passionate about women-specific ski programs, where she empowers female skiers to build confidence and thrive on the slopes.
Known fondly by her loyal clients as The Ski Yoda, she views skiing as a powerful metaphor for life, teaching each descent as a journey of self-discovery, growth, and connection. “Each run down the mountain is more than just a descent; it’s an opportunity to explore the depths of resilience, self-awareness, and an insight into the human experience” she says.
Through Flow Performance Club, she aims to deepen this philosophy, showing how skiing can mirror life’s journey and foster a mindset of growth and fulfillment.
Outside of skiing, Nathalie is also a passionate ice hockey player and a gourmet food and wine lover. Now splitting her time between France and Switzerland, she calls Andermatt her home mountain. Her philosophy and dedication continue to shape her students, helping them build not only skiing skills but life skills that extend far beyond the slopes. “If Africans can learn how to ski, there’s hope for you !” she likes to say !
